We have large innovative 3D printers that we use for our architectural mold making. We use both SLA (stereolithography) 3D printers and resin 3D printers to allow reduction in visible seams on our castings. We can replicate existing detailed pieces when renovating historical buildings.
Advantages of 3D Printing:
Can be made from a CAD file. Details can be good. Can be more precise for making a mold.
Disadvantages of 3D Printing:
Can be very time consuming. Can be more expensive than other ways of making mold plugs. Can create visible seams depending on the type of 3D printer.
